Article in English Articol în Română

A subdomain has the following URL format – You may need subdomains to create mobile versions of your website, blogs, forums etc.

This demo assumes you've already logged in to cPanel using the cPanel style paper_lantern, and starting on the home screen.

Follow the steps given below to set up one or more subdomains from within the cPanel.

1. In the Domains section, click on the Subdomains icon.

2. Fill the form with your subdomain info:

Subdomain: the name of the subdomain
Domain: select the domain where you want to set up the subdomain.
Document Root: a directory name the same as your subdomain prefix will automatically appear, although you can change this if you want.

3. Click the Create button.

You’ve successfully created a new subdomain. A new folder called subdomain has also been created, which is where you would upload files for this subdomain.

However, remember that your new subdomain name may take up to 24 hours to propagate.
